Liquid nutrition...Tolerex or Vivonex anyone?

Hello all,

I am wondering if anyone uses these products and if they help with digestion and/or weight issues.

My gastro doc isn't really helping and the new neuro didn't even recommend a nutritionist, I am considering this because my weight is too high and I am tired of eating, cooking, and preparing, I am just plain tired! The digestion is so bad at this point, I would love something liquid that would satisfy and not give me more trouble, but this stuff is expensive, so I need some experienced advice here.

I noticed when I looked that there is a lot on using this for G-tube feeding, etc. so anyone that is using this for that, even though I am not on a tube, I would still appreciate your feedback.

I am wondering if this actually helps with digestion (less gas, constipation, et.) also if it is true that there are no bowel movements!??!?! Does it help with extreme hunger? Are there any side effects? Anything on this would be very helpful.

Lastly, is anyone able to get ins. to pay for it? If so, some details would be appreciated (dx, how much paid, et.)
