Guest guest
Thanks anyway Now on this red bar, I measure the shoulder width from center of big bolt to center of big bolt, yes? We're going to let him try wearing them tonight. s. old shoes new shoes GlacierI realized I had 's old pair of size 3 shoes last night. They had always seemed so big I didn't dream they'd fit Everett but remembering them I tried them on him and they do fit. This is the old style Markell. I cut a hole in the heel of them and today will measure his shoulders to adjust the bar. On this red, adjustable bar - how do you determine 70 degrees exactly? I think they are still set at 70, but I'm not sure how to determine it for sure on this pair of shoes. I notice on the actual bar there is a deliberate peck in the metal on each side, like a small hole punched in slightly. Is that the mark I aim towards 70? Anyway, thought we'd give this a try before we spent the $ on a new set. s.
Guest guest
I don't know if we have the mark on our bar or not, but we just used a regular protractor if you have one. Otherwise, my advice is useless! old shoes new shoes GlacierI realized I had 's old pair of size 3 shoes last night. Guest guest
That is how we had our bar set, but was able to get his foot out. We tried it from heel to heel, so that is how his is set. I would try the big bolt to big bolt though. old shoes new shoes GlacierI realized I had 's old pair of size 3 shoes last night. Guest guest
We ended up just eye-balling the width of the bar, because on the shoes Mr. and Dr. Ponseti both told us to adjust using the center screw in the round heel plate - measure from screw to screw. Now on the RED bar, that big bolt (that adjusts outward rotation), if you measure center to center on that, well it's way off! 9 1/2 inches on the bar screw to screw was like 7 inches on the red bar or something like that. I mean it would put his feet way too close together. I wish the makers of ALL the FAB bars would put a unit of measure on the bar, a ruler marked out a parent can follow to adjust by. If your baby's shoulders are 9 inches wide, you could find the 9 inch mark on your bar and set it. I think I laced his boots too tight last night, he's left with some bad red marks around his toes today. s. old shoes new shoes GlacierI realized I had 's old pair of size 3 shoes last night.
