Guest guest
Hi Peggy- I live in TX, and traveled to Ocean Springs for surgery. Aftercare has not really been hampered, because if my surgeon can't help, my PCP has been more than willing to help out. I think the key is having a supportive PCP.. mine was supportive from the word go, and that has made a huge difference. Also.. stick around the surgeon's area for ~5-7 days after your release from the hospital. 90% of my problems were the result of me trying to drive straight home after my release from surgery (in a 4WD, over rough roads, with insufficient pain meds). Based on my experience, my clinic no longer allows you to leave town until they are sure that your pain is under control & you're doing OK out of the hospital. But hey- I was a hardhead, & I wanted to go Hooome (whining), so I got what was coming to me. Live and learn- as long as those after me do OK, it was worth it. Good luck on your journey! Hugs, Liane =) > Hi Everyone, > I have a couple more questions about DS surgery.
