Hello,

I too am where you are. I have received my 2 denial from Aetna. I

have one more appeal that can be made. I have chosen to hire Walter

Lindstrom from Obesity Law Advocacy Center(Obesitylaw.com). His rates

are very reasonable ($350. for basic letter of appeal, or $700. for a

very detailed(20+ pages) letter plus follow up at any hearings, etc

that may be necessary. I am going to let him do my second appeal as

he too has had WLS and understands the fight we are up against and he

already uderstands the surgery do he can get right into it with the

insurance company without alot of extra research time. (Afterall,

time is what we are fighting most.) If you are going to go it on your

own for your second appeal, then you might what to check out the info

from Hull under the " Files " Section of this site under " Chris

Hulls Folder " . Also check out " InsCoTactics.txt " by mt92882 and also

" InsDosDont.txt " . Also " Insurance Appeals " bybusofluff. has a

ton of great info to use in writing you appeal letter with ammo.

Check out this site for more info on others who have aetna ins and

have been accepted.

I hope that some of this helps. Keep after it and don't give up.

Then only the Ins Co wins!

By the way who is your Surgeon?

Take care,
