Guest guest
Hi, my name is Tami. I am a 27 year old woman. I weigh approximatly 350 or 360. Ewwwww, way too much. But thats why I am going to do this...lol. Well, I live in Oregon and am scheduled to see Dr. McConnel on May 31 2002. Way too far off for me, but the list is just that, long. I am having to go with him do to me being on medicaid. Although I am trying to obtain other insurance. But I would have heard such nice things about this Dr. Its just such a long wait.:-( Well, I have researched different surgeries now for more than a year, and I DEFINATLY am wanting to have the bpd/ds. I really like that they leave part of your natural stomach intact, just smaller. You seem to be able to have a much more varied of food items you can eat. And there is no dumping. Although if I was a big sugar fan I might like the dumping syndrome. I am much more of a fats and carbs person. Boy am I going to miss thoughs carbs. But I will live..I think...LOL. I also like the percents of the weightloss versus other wls's. Well, I was wondering if someone out there could tell me why they chose this particular surgery? And what is life really like afterwards? And, is there any support groups out there in Oregon around the Salem, McMinville area? I know, alot at once, but this is how we learn. If anywone has questions for me, ask and I will tell. Thanks so much, Tami Consult May 31, 2002 350ish or so.Yikes.
