Max also got the Zippie...your have some good questions....a lot of them will work themselves out....none of them are stupid

Max will get in and out of her chair...and when she is more tired, she will ride more....she rides pretty everywhere we go and gets out whereever and whatever it is we stop for....playground, store, library , beach etc etc . It is a true energy conservation device to get to places . When we went to Disneyland last November, she was in the Zippie all day. It was her first big outing in the chair. She would wait in the Zippie until it was time to board a Dumbo etc etc. this enabled her and all of us to be in the park all day. That was a first for us. She was tired at the end of the day. It was a good and happy tired. Not a cranky , worn out tired. Also, all the pain she previously had in her ankles and hips and calfs, have completely disappeared.
