OT- Have any of you heard of lazy bowl syndrome??

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if any of you had any experience with lazy bowl syn. My

SIL's daughter has been " diagnosed " with this but she feels that there

is more going on with her little girl.

She is having a really hard time getting her ped. to do any kind of

testing whatsoever on her...he diagnosed this 3 times without any

testing!

He has put Mickala on a gelly to loosen her stools repeadly and we are

in the opinion that this is NO kind of way to treat her problem as

prolonged use of the gelly can cause a whole host of other problems.

Mickala has had this problem for over 2 years now, her mom is at the

end of her rope.

I suggested to her that she should do some research and that I would as

well so when she goes in to see her ped. next time, she can go armed

with some good info/questions.
