If I am not mistaken, your IV is infused with blood thinner

(coumadin?) post-op. Maybe not everywhere, though.

I had Lovenox/enoxaparin an anticoagulent self administered

(subcutaneously) at home for 10 days after leaving the hoopital.

It's only a once a day formulation but very expensive compared to

heparin.
