So is the multivitamin tablet that I take. Normally, I swallow about a tablespoonful of tablets (calcium, multivitamin, Actigal, etc.) all at once. Last weekend, I didn't aim them all right, I guess, because one of those biggies stuck in my throat on the way down and wouldn't dislodge, no matter how much I drank (and drank). It was also mildly painful, and, understandably, a bit worrisome. >> Steve, I agree - those citrates are HORSE pills. I know that Twinlabs (I think?) makes a liquid calcium citrate (this is NOT to be confused with the liquid calcium derived from oyster shells - this is CITRATE in liquid form). I've also heard some people taking citrate wafers (tastes like Sweet Tarts, which is appealing to me, anyway LOL). I don't know how easy these products are to obtain - I think one may have to go to a health/nutrition store. I haven't seen them in regular drug stores around here. Thanks for the cake and ice cream tip. I, too, have had those citrates threaten to go down the 'wrong way' and stab my esophogus. all the best, lap ds with gallbladder removal January 25, 2001 Dr. Gagner/Mt.
