Guest guest
Yep I do get it Francisco! Wtg!! I am really struggling with the starbucks thing. Sigh! But a special friend(Donna) left a nice little love basket at my house tonight before I got home from work. I know I know I opened it early!! It was filled with yummy drinks...chamomille teas and no sugar added hot chocolate. I was going to give in to one more day tomorrow and then use my weeks vacation to detox. But now Im gonna use Donna's wonderfully thoughtful gifts and NOT indulge tomorrow!! Tomorrow will be day one of my detoxing!! Today was my last one!! There was a little note on it that said.. " Drink this, not starbucks! " So Im listening to my friend. Also included in the basket was a soft blankie with instructions to cuddle. So Im making two cups of the NSA hot chocolate and do some serious cuddling..per my friends orders LOL!! Thanks Donna you are a sweetie and so thoughtful!! I can get by with a little help from my friends!!(gotta love the beatles)!! Guest guest
I have to believe that a lot of you on the other side are experiencing what Francisco did, but I believe that there is a mindset at work here. I had the same thing happen and no one has "chopped me open yet". I have reflected a great deal since I started down this road 4 short months ago and I have come to one very profound conclusion in my short time on this road. We are what we believe we are. I have come to the realization that the person hiding in the fat body believes he is ready to come out, so I have changed the way I mange my life, to allow that to happen. When faced with adversity, I used to deny it, and eat it, now, I face it, and move past it. This requires HONESTY. Until I found that honesty, I failed at weight loss. But it was more than that, I failed at what I was to become. The Mandela passage has everything to do with this journey. I have a long way to go, and I have nothing but respect for those who have gone before me and all the insight they share here, but the changes in your brain can start as soon as you are honest with yourself. The body changes will follow but everything is at risk so long as the mind. We are all worthy of the BEST. And I am going to follow Francisco's lead, and if what is presented is anything less, I am going to "spit it out". Peaceful Christmas>> Today I'm doing OK with the cravings.> > And will understand this… since I'm doing a maintenance run > tomorrow morning (about 3.75 miles), I have planned to up my carb > intake just slightly (this is a technique called carb loading that is > necessary for long-distance running training).
