Guest guest
Just a comment about Shriners Hospitals and the P method in general- It's just like any other hospital- they don't dictate what method the doctors have to use- so it just depends on what doctor you see, not necessarily what hospital you're at. I know, for instance, that at the St. Louis Shriners, there are other doctors there besides Dr. Dobbs who treat clubfoot and they're not necessarily using the Ponseti method. So, technically, that's why we have to refer families to specific " doctors " instead of " institutions " ....except, perhaps for the Univ. of Iowa- because all the docs there are going to be using the method without deviation. It'd be great if we could refer to a hospital, but unfortunately, that wouldn't work because a family could get assigned to a doctor who isn't using the method properly. I hope everything falls into place for you and Collin, Michele- we're rooting for you! & (3-16-00, left clubfoot) > I was reading the clubfoot board and I saw mention Dr. Dobbs @ > Shriners I think in Missouri?...can't remember.
