Brenna use's them for toe walking along with nighttime bi-valves. Her AFO's we only use when she goes out and are not used when we are home just because she usually doesn't wear shoe's. So, Brenna's use is different than what will be using them for. Hope someone else will be able to offer you some info.

Hi Keely!

When Maddie first got her AFO's it was after a rough year and trouble with anesthesia after an MRI. At first they were used full time, but now she only wears them a couple times a week. (usually when she's been fatigued, or after /during an illness.) HTH!

Grace does not have AFO's exactly (but something similar.) Her doctor only said she really needed them when we would be walking more than normal, for example going to the mall or zoo. He thought they may annoy her due to sensory issues. We were wrong. Grace loves her's so much she puts them on herself, all the time. She does not talk alot, but when she is not wearing them she complains of "owies" on her feet and legs. We never hear that when she is wearing them. Best wishes.
