Guest guest
: You are SO RIGHT! The mental changes are the most important ones because for me, if my head and heart are in the right place, I can follow the guidelines to do what's best for me and that requires me to be honest with myself. I've said before that I love myself not because I lost the weight. I was able to lose the weight because I started to love myself first, and that required a whole mind shift including being honest with myself. You are on to a really important break-through. With that realization, you're on your way to the otherside--the " mental " bypass surgery that we all have to perform on ourselves. It's not the easy road, and there will be bumps along the way, but, man o man, it's one hell of a ride. Yee haw! Francisco > > I have to believe that a lot of you on the other side are experiencing what Francisco did, but I believe that there is a mindset at work here. I had the same thing happen and no one has " chopped me open yet " . > I have reflected a great deal since I started down this road 4 short months ago and I have come to one very profound conclusion in my short time on this road. We are what we believe we are. I have come to the realization that the person hiding in the fat body believes he is ready to come out, so I have changed the way I mange my life, to allow that to happen. When faced with adversity, I used to deny it, and eat it, now, I face it, and move past it. > This requires HONESTY. Until I found that honesty, I failed at weight loss. But it was more than that, I failed at what I was to become. The Mandela passage has everything to do with this journey. I have a long way to go, and I have nothing but respect for those who have gone before me and all the insight they share here, but the changes in your brain can start as soon as you are honest with yourself. The body changes will follow but everything is at risk so long as the mind. > We are all worthy of the BEST. And I am going to follow Francisco's lead, and if what is presented is anything less, I am going to " spit it out " . > Peaceful Christmas >
