, this reminds me of how judgmental I was of my mother's housekeeping many years ago. She was healthy, active & had more cobwebs than an old barn. She was always a meticulous housekeeper, but it didn't occur to me that she couldn't see the cobwebs. I cleaned them off occasionally, sneering inside because she tended to be a little critical of my own standards. When I developed cataracts myself, it was like looking through a lace curtain (kind of like a cobweb!), so I realized then that she couldn't see them! I try to remember this story, and many more like it, when I find myself judging someone.

I still tend to have lots of cobwebs because I just don't notice them. Then when one of the little ones comments, I'll tell them that spiders are good--they eat the flies & mosquitoes. that's true, of course, but most of my cobwebs are uninhabited! The good thing is that the kids love to clean them off with "Webster," my web brush.

There are so many shoes & moccasins of others that I still need to walk in . . . . .

I realized in may thisyear (having recovered from the cataract surgery) how nice it is to beable to see the dinner I am eating from the plate right in front of me... always a good thing, eh ?

Mike

Being able to see your dinner is always nice. Seeing how much dust had gotten all over everything wasn't so nice after I had my eyes done!
