Guest guest
Had some blood tests done to see if I had to go back on my diabetes meds after my DS. Now, you have to understand about my endocrinologist: call his number and, naturally, get the list of # options. But you have to wait 2 to 3 days just to get a call back to make an appointment or talk to th P.A. Forget talking to the Dr. to find out lab results AND WHAT THEY MEAN! Five days after I called for results, I got a paper telling me results, but no indication of what norms are. The Glucose level I understood: 109 (not bad for no meds; pre-op glucose was around 150-160, and that was while taking 2500 mg. Glucophage & 30 mg. Glynase daily!). But, I'm hoping, that someone out there can interpret the following and let me know (in the immortal words of Ed Koch), " How'm I doin'? " Glycohemoglobin result 5.9% Lipid panel Triglycerides 105 Total Cholesterol 128 HDL 44 LDL 63 Ratio 2.9 Hepatic function panel: just got a check mark I'd love some enlightenment. Thanks Marcia Dr. Ren 7/13/01 280/52 lost 14 lb. pre-op 237/44 as of today shadow44@...
