Guest guest
Just wondering what the other two ages most common were and if you saw any similarities as to why with those ages. Yes...well between 1-2...usually leighs and complex IV babies...ones that were quite sick from the beginning or in the first few months. The other age was 5-6 which is when we lost ...seemed to be more boys in that age range and more girls in the 10ish age. In the small group I moderate online...we have lost six kids total...out of ten with mito...2 in the 0-14 month range...2 boys in the 5-6 yr old range and 2 10 yr old girls. You hear 'rumors' from drs that boys are more affected...interestingly, the four of the ten that are still with us, are all girls in the 4-7 yr old range. But this is a very good representation of what is seen on the MitoAngels group, too, which is where we had the discussion and wondered how much puberty had to do with at least the 10ish yr old girls. deb...mom to three great kids and wife to one amazing guy!www.LifeofLoveProject.orgwww.debwells.com
