Guest guest Posted August 26, 2005 Report Share Posted August 26, 2005 I don't know if this has changed or not, but Dr. Dobbs did my son at Shriner's nearly four years ago and they do it in the OR under anesthesia there because that is Shriner's policy. I don't think they actually use general because never even got his IV started because she said by the time she got him asleep and was getting ready to start his IV they were done with the procedure.
