Guest guest
Good God! I got to UCLA, admitted, I.V.'d heparined, fancy pantyhose to avoid blood clots, poked, prodded, dressed in the sexy gown, and they had an emergency. My 8:30 surgery got pushed, to 1:00, 3:00, 5:00, and finally DECEMBER 20!!!!! So here I am, bruised, tear stained, depressed, well hydrated (thanks to 6 hours of I.V.), and empty boweled. I will have surgery on my birthday. As I sit and wallow in my own pity party, I will pray for the person that had surgery yeaterday and had complications, when I left the hospital at 3:00 she was still on the operating table. This was the first open for one surgeon and the second for the other surgeon. I will pray for their steady hands and tired bodies as they try to piece together a WLS gone wrong. Thanks for all the hugs and love, and now I would ask you to pray with me. tearfully, Sue
Guest guest
Hi Sue, How thoroughly aggravating! I'm sure that if I were in your position, while I would certainly understand the necessity of their handling the emergency, I'd be so frustrated that I'd be spitting bullets - for a little while at least. Nonetheless, the 20th will be here in quick order. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers for an uncomplicated surgery and a full and speedy recovery. Does anyone know who it was that was having the complications? In any case, I'll add them to my prayers as well. It is a difficult journey for some - all we can do is pray that, in the end, the outcome will be positive and worth the travail.
