Guest guest
Hi Deb: Just FYI- and probably to confuse the situation even more- Our dev. ped. says that my older 2 will go through puberty for years, at a slower pace . ( they are almost 12 & 17) They have had BO & hair since around 10. They have partial complex 1- my oldest had no obvious symptoms until the start of puberty- he developed a tremor in both hands, and started having absence seizures every now and then ( the seizures are chemically caused- when his lactic acid levels are too high and/or his sugar is too low) My 12 yr old 's carnitine levels dropped way off around the time BO started. My 5 & 7 yr old boys do not have BO, any signs of early puberty yet. Cindy-GA Its especially interesting b/c on the MitoAngels list we have noticed three different ages that many of our kids seem to be when they have passed away. ONe of them being age 10ish...which is the beginning of puberty for the girls especially...which has made us wonder (and discuss) the effects of puberty on a mito body. deb...mom to three great kids and wife to one amazing guy!
