...as owner of the DS Christian list I feel the need to reply to

this post. I never told anyone to shut up. What I will not allow

anymore than this list will is the continual dicussion of a " certain "

situation between Dr.Ren and one of her former DS patients and that's

where you were headed so I ask you to take that particular subject to

private email. I did not ask you to quit discussing the RNY vs DS and

in my reply I even stated that I would never allow a surgeon to make

that decision for me. The only thing I did ask was to respect others

decisions. If the poster believes that she is doing what is right for

her then who are we to second guess her decison. The only thing that

we as fellow DS'ers can do is inform and support. I believe we did

that but in the end it's still up to her. No matter which procedure

she has I want her to feel welcome on the DS Christian list and not

like a second class citizen because she chose the RNY.

My post was not a scare tactic. It was truth and I didn't even go

into details explaining all the hell I've been through for the past 6

months becuse of that unexpected complication (central line caused

damage to the nerves that go to me right eye, which resulted in

Horner's Syndrome). I couldn't read for sevRAL MONTHS (still can't be

online or read for long periods) and haven't driven since surgery

becuse I can't judge distance yet. I could go on and on but what good

will it do?

BTW...are you post-op or pre-op? Just curious.

Well, I guess that's about all I have to say about this.

Peace,

TJ
