Guest guest
Hi there, I have a new insurance question for anyone that has seen Dr. Mosca at Children's Hospital. I have been fighting with the clinic and CUMG, the group that does his billing, since July on this. My insurance is pretty straightforward - $20 copay for main pediatrician, $30 copay for a specialist - no other fees. I consider Dr. Mosca to be a specialist, right? Wrong. Dr. Mosca ONLY practices at a clinic inside Children's Hospital in Seattle - which makes each of our appointments an OUTPATIENT VISIT, not an OFFICE visit! This means I have to satisfy my deductible, then they only pay X%. I cannot believe this is the way that this is billed. There's no other " office " that Dr. Mosca practices from. They've tried to tell me it all has to do with Medicare laws, blah blah blah, and I think it is bogus. And don't even get me started on the FAB billing!!! I NEVER had this problem with Dr. sy in Atlanta. Just a $30 copay for our visits. Of course, his practice was not physically located in a hospital. I guess I should be happy it's covered at all, with so many people out there that aren't covered at all, but this is driving me crazy. Does anyone have any advice, or has anyone else experienced this billing issue with Dr. Mosca's office? Thanks! mom to Addison (girl, 7/3/04, BCF 14/7)
