number of farmworkers in the U.S

Dear Colleagues,

The question has come up, once more, as to the number of farmworker in the

United States and Sources for the data.

As many of you are aware the numbers vary for 1.5 million upwards to 4-5

million, depending on the source as well as the composition of what is a

farmworker with some including the family members of the farmworker in those

numbers.

I would like to hear from the field (no pun intended) as to what others have

heard and their sources.
