Guest guest
Kim, We call it "the orange oil slick." I'm only 2 weeks out and have only experienced it once, the day after I had some chicken parmigiano. I assumed it was the result of the oil and cheese. I have been sticking to a fairly low-fat menu ( some habits die hard) so have not been bothered. I have also been lucky in that my "excretions" have been totally controlled, no involuntary "discharges." I know others have not been that lucky. One of the solutions seems to be maxi-pads, preferrably with wings, at least until you get the feel for your new "plumbing." I had my Duodenal Switch 10months ago...i'm down over 90 pounds. And for the first time since surgery I had a bad experience. I feel so lucky.......this whole time everything has been so easy. But today in the car we had to pull over on a country road so i could have a BM. UGH not fun. I got really crampy and then after I felt great again. I eat very very very normal with my DS and so far I have felt nothing but NORMAL. No super small portions. Not terrible BM's. But yesterday I think I over did it with my FAT in take and I paid for it today. ehehe But....I'm doing great. Just thought I would share that my surgery is not longer perfect. But one bad day out of 10 months to lose 90 some pounds...I can handle that *winks* Life is good, kim in o
