One of the most helpful things to me was learning how to breathe when climbing stairs or inclines. I had just been huffing & puffing (but couldn't have blown down a house of straw), stopping every few steps. After learning a special technique, I was able to climb stairs much more easily & didn't even have to rest as often. I still use that breathing technique.
