To All Dr. Herzenberg Patients, MUST READ!!

At our last clubfoot meeting in June, Joanne Walton and I decided

our great, dedicated and talented Dr. H needs a quilt with many of

his dear patients, he has made miracles with, on it. Similar to the

fabulous quilt made for Dr. Ponseti last year.

Our plan is to present it to him at his symposium this year which is

September 1-8, 2005. Sheila has informed me that there is not a

specific clubfoot day as in the past years. As of right now, we

have not worked out the presentation details.

To all of you who want your loving kiddo(s) on the quilt: I need a

photo of your baby/toddler/kid/(or adults) from the waist up emailed

to me at susan.shook @ vdfy.com (without spaces) by August 5th. We

were really torn on the design of the quilt, but finally determined,

because of time, or lack thereof, we will not be able to get traced

feet from everyone in a timely manner, so opted for a photo of each

child/person instead.

The design: The quilt will be divided into 9 large squares, where

there will be a collage of all the childrens faces, in each square.

So, I need lots to participate! In between each of the large

squares will be foot prints (all the same size) with the childs name

on it. I have opted not to put the birthdate, due to security

reasons, but those who would like the birthdate on it I can

include. I may just put her year. Anyway, the center square will

prabably be a pic of Dr. H and some saying, " these feet are made

for walking, and that's just what they'll do, thanks to you Dr. H "

or something like that. Your childs name will not be with the

photo.

We are ultimately hoping it will be hung in the lobby. I think some

foot prints will remain empty so they can add patients as they

wish. Course, there will never be enough space for all the patients

he has helped!!!

Please participate in this wonderful project. Again, I must have

photos by August 5th!!!!!

My dear mother is a quilt professional and has volunteered, with

pride, to do this quilt for us. Go MOM!!!
