From what I know (and I had twins with reflux) they usually outgrow reflux by the time they are close to two. The vomitting actually does cause scarring on the esophegus .

What worked for our kids was to have them sleep at a slight angle. A wedge piillow works well. We also used later on Gaviscon. I am not sure if that is appropriate for a 3 months old. There are standard medications prescribed by doctors. Reflux is a serious disorder which most children will outgrow. If not treated, it can cause considerable irrreversible damage.

There are a number of good websites available with information on reflux and children.

hope this helps

regards,

rosy
