Guest guest
Belinda posted some information a few days ago that some think some kids have difficulty with bifidus. Ultra Flora Plus has bifidus. You could drop it for a few days and see if he gets better. It could be that he is experiencing yeast die-off, though. I don't know how long that could last, maybe someone else can help with that question. 's message follows my signature. From: " jornmatt <kjorn@...> " <kjorn@...> Date: Mon Jan 20, 2003 10:42 pm Subject: OT: Probiotic tip from SCD on bifidus On the groups for Specific Carbohydrate Diet which is designed to heal a severly injured gut, heal colon problems, and bacteria...they strongly advise AGAINST using the probiotic bifidus. I asked why because bifidus is commonly in many probiotics as a key bacteria for the colon. However, the SCD researchers say that although bifidus can be a 'good' bacteria, it is capable of overrunning the neighborhood and becoming a problem itself. They say it is common for those with colon problems and celiac to have extra high populations of bifidus...and when they are brought under control, the person gets better. The SCD advises sticking to acidophilus, thermophilus, and bulgaris as key players. A couple of people using the SCD also chimmed in saying that when they finally took out the extra bifidus, they felt much much better. Something to keep in mind if you are wrestling with colon or bacteria problems. .
Guest guest
Nicky's been taking bifidus longum, infantis, breve w/o trouble, but in a mix that has no FOS in it. Could it be the FOS not the bifidus? V. important to know how your child does on FOS. I went and bought some other products, too, w/o bifidus, but haven't tried them yet for comparison. Is bifidus the same as bifidobacterium? sometimes there's more than one word for same bacteria, but v. similar words usually. Marti
Guest guest
Black Walnut will take out parasites if given over a long enough period. Die off from that can be worse than yeast die off. I think your dosing is fine, keep going, plenty of fluids Mandi in UK We started my son on black walnut hull to treat him for yeast. He has been taking 1/4 cap for 2 days. He is having more frequent BM's and his last one shortly after the black walnut hull was very large and very loose. He also has the typical symptoms of yeast. Large circles under his eyes, red spot on cheek, and a large ring around his bottom. Very tired. Going to bed early and sleeping OK. Only up once last night. Had a little rice milk and then back to sleep. His moods seem OK. Are the typical symptoms of yeast also a part of the die off? Also, we are giving his enzymes at the beginning of his meals and the black walnut hull at the end of his meal (only at lunch). Is this OK? Thanks so much for your input! Guest guest
If you mean for yeast, IMHO, enzymes and probiotics although some may need an active killer to get things nder control like GSE (OTC and widely available) which unfoirtunately tastes awful. Enzymes by HNI with meals, HNI pep and NO Fenol between, Candex at night, probiotics somewhere in between. This is a many pronged attack, improved digestion, greater up take of nutrients, gut healing, yeast wall dissoving, repopulation with good stuff kinda protocol. Its the sort of thing you can do long term, adjusting back on dosing as things improve, which will maintain the gains etc. This works for us even through chelation with ALA/DMSa which many abandon due to gut bug issues. Good luck Mand in Uk what if you don't have black walnut for parasites...what is the next best thing to give to an adult? and a child? thanks... Guest guest
Hi, It is sometimes hard to tell die-off from other illnesses. However, there are several supplements you can try to alleviate die-off symptoms: protease (like HNI Peptizide), vitamin C, AlkaSeltzer Gold (only gold) and activated charcoal. My daughter also finds epsom salts baths very helpful for making her feel better when she has die-off. In general it is best to go slow and try to avoid die-off both because it overwhelms your child's immune system and liver trying to clean out all those endotoxins and because it is just a physically horrible experience for them. I believe you are giving GSE for the 1st time. It is possible this is some kind of intolerance reaction to GSE itself, too. However, my experience is that die-off is often like flu. Good luck,
Guest guest
---Whenever I get yeast dieoff, I mostly get rashes. I had one on my chest about 3 inches across that stayed for about a week. In , " weinert56 " <weinert@l...> wrote: > Hi, > > It is sometimes hard to tell die-off from other illnesses. Guest guest
> My question is this. If I am seeing some die off now, how long do I continue giving the GSE? You can give activated charcoal about 30-45 minutes after the GSE, that will help absorb die off toxins. Give GSE for about a week, until the symptoms disappear. Then give probiotics. Guest guest
Can anyone tell me about my symptoms of constipation during yeast-die off from acidolphilus? I'm trying fiber supplements. I think I was way out of control yeast wise after only a week or so off of acidolphilus. Guest guest
Has anyone used activated charcoal to help relieve the die off symptoms of yeast? My DAN! Dr. suggested it to help with Jack's sensitivities (crying, clinging, hyperactivity). Also, Jack has had such a poor appetite since starting the Diflucan. Just looking for some feedback with this journey! in NJ
Guest guest
One thing about activated charcoal is it strips everything (hubby the science guy tells me), even the good stuff. Stan Kurtz has sort of a protocol listed on how one would do it if changing to his caveman diet. In his case it is, I think, to reduce ammonia build up, etc. Did the DAN say to take anything after to avoid dehydration, etc.? We had ridiculous detox stuff happen on the zince charcoal soap that we no longer have. I hope that is a sign of healing the gut. > > a, > > We had some tantrumie (sp) strange stuff w/ yeast die off and MB12. > Definetley try the activated charcol. Guest guest
One thing about diflucan. It has been prescribed for me in the past for yeast infections and wound up healing gut stuff. Perhaps he has more to heal???? I have heard that with other yeast remedies that they can cause or appear to cause gut stuff. Systemic yeast treatment is very tricky stuff. Best wishes! > > Has anyone used activated charcoal to help relieve the die off > symptoms of yeast? My DAN! Dr. suggested it to help with Jack's > sensitivities (crying, clinging, hyperactivity). Guest guest
Very common, tons of yeast die off during mercury (metal) detox... consider joining Cutler's autism treatment . Guest guest
Yes, yeast die-off can be hard on the body. I am not a doctor.......our family has suffered through many serious infections. If this was my child I may slow down the treatment, it may be too much for him--it is better to be slow and steady than overwhelm. Also, make sure there are no ingredients in the cleanse that could be a stimulant (but that would surprise me). It is one step at a time. Finding detox methods are important when you are killing off an infection. One naturopath recommended Zeolite to me but I don't know if it is appropriate for children. A Naturopath (fully licensed) might be a good idea. Don't let people freak you out. You know when your child is ok and not ok----same syndrome where a mom watches her child get sick after a vaccine and they think the kid just has emotional problems! Take care!. > > Can yeast die off cause anxieties ? > We are doing a yeast cleanse with our 10 yr. old Son and into wk. 2 he starts to exhibit severe anxiety issues.
