taking MTX and possible surgery?

As you know I started MTX recently and am up to 6 pills Q week. My

problem is I just found out I will need to have surgery soon. I had a

diskectomy with an anterior fussion at c5-6 in Oct 2007. At my 12 week

follow up I found out that the plate and screws have moved and will

need to come out. We are giving it another 6 weeks in hopes that the

fusion will be stronge enought to hold on its own, if not they will

have to create a larger fusion and I may end up with the same problem.

My question is do I need to stop taking the MTX since I will be having

more surgery? I had my blood work done on Friday and everything looks

good.
