Guest guest
Hi Debbie, I am behind once again on emails. My husbands too catches me, but he know where it comes from he was with me at the Neuro appt. where the doctor explained that my problem was not in my feet or legs, it’s in the path way in between from the brain. When he’s not around I too just look drunk! I’ve learned to walk in smaller steps, so I look like a Geisha girls, now all I need is the platform flip flops and a long tight skirt, man I would trip for sureJ, From: Neurosarcoidosis [mailto:Neurosarcoidosis ] On Behalf Of Debbie Sent: Sunday, November 04, 2007 8:24 AM To: Neurosarcoidosis Subject: RE: question about handicap parking At times I sway and lose my footing too. My husband ends up catching me and pulling me up straight. He says " What's the matter with you??!!, like I do it on purpose. When he's not around , I end up catching my own footing and do look like I'm drunk. It's kind of embarrasing when you are in public! I know people must wonder about me, you know I can not stand in one place, I just can’t, I fall to one side then the other, and it’s not like I fall to the ground, my feet shift without telling my brain or maybe it’s the other way around?? So I always look drunk, people will like grab my elbow and say are you OK, ya I’m fine I just can’t stand or walk or sit or do anything for very long? Such is life? You might want to call first, just to make sure you have everything you need. I'm so glad you did it. As everyone has said, there may be times you don't need to use it, but like a poster I once saw on giving blood said: Blood is like a parachute: you may never need it, but it had better be there when you do! This is a little less dramatic, but the same principle. Ramblin' Rose Moderator A merry heart is good medicine.
