Guest guest
Has anyone experienced the following please? My daughter Natasha's baby 'Cody' is 9 weeks of age. He is fully breast-fed and two days ago vomited back his whole feed which contained blood. Not streaks of blood or pink fluid but bright red blood. There was enough to cover the outfit he was wearing as well as the cot sheets and blanket. Approx a cup and a half. The hospital drew blood from Cody and have said that nothing has shown up and after testing the blood stained clothing have said that the blood is not from Cody but from my daughter Natasha and that she must have a breast infection. Although the breast milk shows no sign of any blood. The hospital said not to worry about it even if he vomits more blood, then sent us home. Because of a large lump in Natasha's neck they have said that she may also have a thyroid problem but not to worry about that either as this is common after child-birth. However Natasha has no swelling in her breasts, nor are they sore nor does she have a temperature so I doubt that she has a breast infection. This morning Cody is again vomiting blood and this time the dripping breast milk does itself look red but there is still no pain or temp. She has not eaten nor had anything different to drink. Has anyone else experienced this. Thanks, .
