Of those

of you that are on Remicade or have tried it, were/are you on disability and

would Medicare through the disability pay for the Remicade, or if anyone knows

if Remicade is paid for is you are on disability? Just wondering, Thanks,

Marla

, in addition to Tracie’s excellent advice, if you

have been on steroids don’t forget the possibility of avascular necrosis(AVN)/osteonecrosis.

Steroids can be helpful but unfortunately sometimes they can be evil. My

AVN started just like you describe, only it attacked in the middle of the

night, in my ankle like yours. So far I’ve had both hips and a

shoulder replaced (not as bad as it might sound to you, don’t panic) and

had surgery on the ankle. If that is the case, a lot of the time an ankle

can heal itself if diagnosed EARLY and proper procedures are followed

(non-weight bearing and wearing a boot). I don’t want to scare you

but it is something you should be aware of because time is of the essence when

dealing with AVN.
