Guest guest
Hi, everyone - I just wanted to relate a few stories about my amazing weight loss and changing relationship to the world as a result... The other day I was walking with my friend and our kids. We were both pushing double strollers when this teenage kid rides past on a bike. With his arm up in the air he shouts 'wow - fat girls rule!' and smiled as he passed. I guess I have now made the 'acceptable' fat girl status instead of being 'over the limit' ROFL I just had to laugh at this because I think he really meant this as a positive statement although I'm not sure what possessed him to exclaim this as he rode by.... When I went to dim sum with the kids one of our waitresses, whose English isn't very good, came over to the table and said 'So, you're thin now. How come?' Try explaining the BPD/DS to her... so I just said I had surgery on my stomach. God only knows what kind of rumor that is going to start among the entire staff (I'd love to hear the 'final version') LOL, but at least they notice! And, an old Chinese lady who lives next door came up to me as she was passing our house and exclaimed (in Cantonese since she doesn't speak English) 'how liang' with a thumbs up sign (which means 'how beautiful'). Hey, if I can get an old Chinese granny to notice then something must really be up! LOL all the best, lap ds with gallbladder removal January 25, 2001 Dr. Gagner/Mt.
