Guest guest
Hmmm, is this Dobb's new brace I've been hearing about? Anybody who uses it out there who knows? I don't, I haven't seen the new brace myself. I suggest you speak to dr. dobbs and let him know what is going on - there is always that chance (?) the brace co. gave you the wrong size or something. Besides removing the brace I don't know wha tto say about teh pressure marks. Some people have luck with padding it, but when my boy had pressure sores we had no luck padding. Since I am completly not familiure with the brace you have I am sorry I am no help. s. Re: Now I understand why some people give up... I fear I am using incorrect terminology (but the nurse said AFO). ds has a small plastic boot which is then placed in a larger boot connected to the bar. ds is 5 months old. Dr Dobbs is his dr. What should I do about the purple mark? Thanks for helping !!! Sue > Oops I didn't pay attention, you said you are in the AFOs not the FAB's. All I can say to that is AFO's suck and I really hope you meant o write FAB (or dbb). I went the AFO route years ago, they do NOTHING for clubfeet except ruin them!!!!!! (I'll elaborate if you wish but spare that sermon for now) > > How old is your baby? what doc are you seeing? big purple marks are serious trouble in any event often resulting in bad infections because the pressure sores break down the skin really deep, not just on the surface. Please come back and describe the shoes your baby is wearing so we can figure out better what is going on and how to help you, OK? > > s. > > > Sue which style of shoe are you using, Markell or ? > s. > > ds just went into his AFO on Monday and he is miserable.
