Guest guest
Oh Darla, how funny. I can remember once during an appointment with my daughter -Kay's paediatrician (also a cyclic vomiter) where she vomited not over me, but over the paediatrician's desk and down his leg. He was quite calm about it and just wiped himself and the desk down as best he could with a paper towel. I always wondered how he got through the rest of that day smelling strongly of vomit as he had many other patients waiting to be seen. Needless to say we always carry an empty plastic ice-cream container with us now where ever we go. It has come in handy many times as well. Darla I bet you and I are only one of a very few that can chuckle over vomit.!!!!! . Re: update on Lindsey>>> Kim, I'm so glad you were able to see humor in it all. Guest guest
Kim, I'm so glad you were able to see humor in it all. Sometimes you get so tired of it all, that laughter is all you can do. Glad to hear she is back to peeing in the potty and no more screaming in pain. Guest guest
Wow! What a fun experience, huh? Trust me, we've been there, done that. Several months ago when visiting Mayo with Asenath we were waiting for a doc appointment when Asenath blessed us with vomiting not once but three separate times in the waiting room. Twice she hit me and my pants were totally soaked. Obviously I don't carry extra clothes for myself and so I had to go on with the visit soaked. I had no choice but to laugh myself through the visit as it was so hilarious of a situation. I am sure the onlookers were quite shocked, but I saw the humor in it because it just HAD to be there that she missed the garbage, unlike her norm. This was a cyclic vomiting issue rather than flu related, so we were still able to do the important visit, but can you imagine the docs' faces? It was quite a day. Anyway, I am glad to hear the girls are doing better lab wise and looking healthier to Dr. Whiteman. We always like good news! Also glad Lindsey seems to be on the mend. Hopefully it won't happen again.
