update on Lindsey

We saw Dr. Whiteman yesterday and he was very impressed with how well and Lindsey looked. He said they looked healthy, strong and like a typical 3 year old. That was music to our ears! We started them on creatine about 4 months ago and it has increased not only their muscle mass but also their tone. We think that has a lot to do with their improvement.

I told Dr. about Lindsey's bladder issues last week and he questioned if it could have been kidney stones. Since it passed as quickly as it came on (7 days later), didn't respond to antibiotics, that was his thought. So, we were set to have Lindsey's urine tested and to have a kidney ultrasound. Along with this, we were to have a bunch of blood labs drawn. The blood draws were a nightmare. was poked twice and they finally got enough to do all the tests. Lindsey was poked twice also but, tensed up so bad and I couldn't calm her down that they hardly got any blood from her. Certainly not enough to run the tests. She was so worked up, she peed her pants and completely soaked through everything...of course the one time I didn't bring a change of clothes!!!

So, we cancelled the urine (I did try and squeeze some out of the pull-up to no avail...), cancelled the ultrasound and took the girls home with poor Lindsey wrapped in a blanket. My dear husband forgot which floor of the parking ramp he parked on so here we are running down the parking ramp with the girls in the stroller, 30 degrees, Lindsey with no pants...i'm so glad I found humor in all of this!

So, I guess we still don't know what happened with Lindsey. I'm sure we will do the ultrasound sometime in the near future. I'm just glad she is back to her normal, happy, peeing on the potty self!
