Guest guest
Donna, Sorry for the delay--Just saw your email. R U Nuts? You are walking A LOT--too much for a fresh postop! I mean, 3 days after this kind of surgery you're still healing big time and barely eating or drinking. You should be doing 10-15 minutes of walking max, then rest. You are way too early to be walking this much. No WONDER you're tired! You can increase your walking after 10 days or so. But for now, just do a little walking to get fresh air and move your circulation around. Don't expect to be anywhere close to normal for 3-4 weeks, and don't push the water, protein, or supplements too hard. No one can take in all the required water, protein, calcium, vitamins, etc. right away. Everyone seems to worry about this and they need to be told again and again, YOU WILL GET THERE. Good luck! Guest guest
Miss Martha RN- it is always nice to be reminded of certain things. I am 6 weeks out and still can't eat as much as the menu suggests. I do try and drink all my water, I am faithful with my vits, I try and drink some protien drink daily but I am afraid that I am not getting enough protein. Most of the time the drinks just gag me. BUT I FEEL GREAT! I am back at the gym and I even started some light ab excercised today. And again I FEEL GREAT! Do I need to worry about not eating enought? Guest guest
Hi Martha, thanks for the reality check. What a perfect time for me to read your email. I was just beating myself up for only walking about a mile and a half today! Again thanks!
