Guest guest
Cindy 1. Where are you in the journey? Pre or Post op? 2. As for protein shakes: mix with water or non calorie beverage only- not milk. You can try spicing it up with sf syrups from daVinci or Torani if you would like. You can get them from several places: Smart and Final, Vitalady, or daVinci.com or torani.com. 3. If you are pre op, try eating like you will post op. Give up one thing at a time. When I was preparing, I gave up soda first, then sugar etc. Log everything you eat. It keeps you honest. 4. Water Water Water 5. Some type of exercise that you can follow through and keep doing. Walking is great. 6. Protein!! Limit carbs. > > I am hoping to meet some new people who can help motivate me thru my > weightloss. Guest guest
I found that if I prepared things ahead of time, it helped me stay on track. I would prepare my food for the week on Sunday, and I would also plan what kinda exercise I was going to fit in that week. So example of what I did was breakfast and lunch were taken with me to work, in order to stay on track. And then for dinner I made sure it was protein and veggie with a limited amount of carbs. As for exercise, I started off slowly so as not to burn out or go to hard the first time and get hurt. Then I gradually built it up. I did walking, and then running. Inside on a treadmill and then days it was nice went outside to walk. Just to spice it up. Also did tennis when the weather was nice too. I didn't want to get bored with it, so then I threw in the stationary bike. Water aerobics is good once summer comes too. I didn't journal my thoughts, but that does help some people. But I didn't journal the food I was eating. Made me accountable and able to look back at it and see where I might have went wrong. I read books to keep me motivated. I did read both of Carnie 's books, and I was able to identify with them. I also just went to every Lifestle class every month and also the support groups help too. There you will talk to post-ops and other pre-ops that might have other ideas to help stay motivated. Hope some of that might help. Guest guest
You will also find a good selection of Torani sugar free syrups at Cost Plus World Market and believe it or not you will find da Vinci sugar free syrups at Marshall's! I would not want to pay to ship those large bottles... Randy > > > > I am hoping to meet some new people who can help motivate me thru my > > weightloss.
