Guest guest
Angel, We give the girls Creatine Monohydrate. I buy it at Wal-Mart. The brand name is "Weider" and it's about $10 for a bottle of 60. Dr. Whiteman told us to give the girls 1gram three times a day. It's rather confusing as 7 capsules is a serving size and it equals 5 grams. So, I had to break that up and give them 1 capsule which is about .75grams. Close enough, I figure. I hope that wasn't totally confusing!!!! Check with Dr. Whiteman and see if that's something he would like you to try. It has worked well for my girls. Good luck!!! Kim to Kim Novy re; Creatine Hi Kim My son has mito complex 1 also I was wondering on the creatine. You said it has increased their muscles and tone. My son is hypotonic too. How much creatine do you give them and what form? If you don't mind me asking Anything to help his tone! By the way is one of my favorite names! Guest guest
No, the girls have not experienced diarrhea from the creatine. I looked it up on the internet and it did say it could cause diarrhea. You might want to start him gradually like with one capsule for a while, work up to two etc. Plus, you will want to make sure he drinks plenty of fluids. Did you meet with Dr. Whiteman already or did you start this on your own? You wouldn't think it could harm him but, I would definitely check with Dr. Whiteman about it. Good luck!
