Guest guest
I had my surgery in Fremont by Dr. Dennen and he does NOT recommend wearing one. He says they are only going to just a " NG tube " to save your life and he would rather have someone save my life and repair my pouch later if needed. I really depends on your doctor and your personal preference. > > > > Hello all...we are still on the other end of the country as I > write > > this (hopefully flying home on Tuesday) At my one week follow up > got > > my staples and drain removed (Glad to be free of those) and found > I > > was down some 14 pounds from what I weighed the morning of > surgery. > > That was a nice, unexpected surprise, as having had to stay in the > > hospital 6 days instead of the planned 2-3, all the IV's and > > such...I didn't expect to really see any weight loss at this first > > appointment. > > > > Aside from being totally worn-out and enxious to get > home...between > > my longer stay in the hospital and some issues there, our 4 year > old > > coming down with a nasty virus right in the middle of my discharge > > (and I assure you sitting for 6 hours in an ER just after wls and > > hernia repair is NO FUN) and our doctor refusing to allow me to > fly > > till this coming week, I think our little family is holding it > > together pretty well...just road weary and anxious for our own > > little home. > > > > Am sipping all the time - hubby is on a constant vigile to keep my > > water jug filled and at hand but am finding it a major challange > to > > get all my protein in each day and to manage any food to speak > > of...I just have to remind myself I have to eat because I really > > have little desire for it.
