Hey Guys

Just dropped in to say hello to everyone. I haven't had much to say

lately but I have been reading the posts. I have been having the

cytoxan infusions (2) and they seemed to help a great deal but if isn't

coming out one end is comes out the other. Only lasts a couple of days

but it still sucks.

In the middle of everything I got some great news. I am going to be a

Grandma. My son, and his wife Angie, are expecting. They told me

on my 46th Birthday. I am so excited. It has been a long time since I

have had something to look forward to.

I say Happy Birthday to all of those that I have missed; I have laughed

and cried with all of you. I have prayed for all of you and will check

on you regularly.

Congratulations on the great news of becoming a Grandma, it's always nice to have something to look forward to.I'm glad you are feeling better, sorry the medication is so hard on you. I'm getting infusion #2 of Remicade tomorrow

I don't have any side effects, except, and this is crazy will have to ask Tracie, I have been horse(not sure correct spelling) with my voice ever since the first infusion, strange, and everyone asks me if I have a cold. Thanks for checking in, good to hear how everyone is doing, it has been so quiet lately, just hope it's because everyone is busy with summer. Blessings to all, Marla

Just checking in with you Marla to see how things went with your infusion today. Hope you are still feeling well. It was strange that you mentioned the hoarseness in your voice. Minw started once my facial palsy started in December, and has never went away. I sound like a man..lol. Every time I talk to someone on the phone, they always think I am sick, tired, sleeping, or just woke up, and I could be just in the middle of cleaning..so I am not sure what mine is from either. Hope you're feeling well. Prayers are with you.

Terri,

I'm sorry you are not feeling well. But, like you said, you have something to look forward to now...being a Nana! Congrats. Hopefully the doctors can (or have given you) something to help your N/V and D. Prayers are with you, too.

Marla,

What a strange reaction. I am glad you are getting the remicade though.

I am feeling a lot better today so it is easy to forget what it is like

now.

Take care and let the medication do its work. Be sure to let someone

know about the hoarseness.

Christy,

Thanks for the sweet note. I do have something for the n/v but the more

I suppress it, the worse the diarrhea is. Go figure. I am a week out

and feel so much better.

Hope you are well and I am looking forward to the baby.

Thanks again.

,

I, too, get hoarseness with the bell's palsy and trigeminal neuralgia.

I have it when I amat my worst and have had it last 2-3 months at a

time. Once the flare passes, it goes away.

Just an FYI.

Bonnie,

Thank you so much. I am so excited and trying to keep my nose out

unless they want my advice. I was an OB/Gyn medical assistant and I

want to just take over!!!! But I have been good which is kind of hard

for me.

Take care and thanks for the note. Take care of yourself.

Terri, Thanks for the FYI. I hope it passes. I can't even talk on the phone longer than 5-7 minutes before my voice totally cracks up. I was wondering, I have also been getting these VERY painful sores on my tongue. It's only been since this whole thing started, and they come and go. they come about every 3 weeks and last for about a week. It is one sore on each side of my tongue. Last time they came, they came as little "holes" in my tongue...one on each side. But this time as usual, its sores that stick out. its hard to explain, but it hurts to talk, to eat, to do anything because it rubs on them. and they are white on top of them...like a white layer of skin on top. i dont know, it sounds really funky, and im sorry. but im trying to be as descriptive as possible to see if anybody else knows what it is. my doctor has no clue (of course). he just keeps

putting me on an anti- herpes,(which i do not have) and it never works. he put me on acyclovir (sp?) doesnt work. could somebody maybe help me?

Christi,

It does sound like shingles-- but you say the aclivor isn't helping. So that leaves a really bad thrush infection.

There is some stuff called Miracle Mouthwash (by prescription)--- and it numbs the throat and tongue and gets rid of the yeast. The other is to use liquid acidophyllus and take a tsp several times a day. Drink some extra water-- get away from the fruit juices, sweets for a few days-- and use the Biotene products to get your mouth fauna back into sync.

Hope this helps,

Tracie
