Guest guest
It is Pharmax pure fish oil. NOT Cod Liver Oil. It has 1050 EPA and 750 DHA per 1 tsp. for a total of 2250mg Omega 3. They also have a product called Frutol which is 500 EPA and 375 DHA per 2 tsp. for a total of 1200mg Omega 3. You can all do the math - if I have to go the Frutol route, I personally will double the dose to get the amounts that Dr. Jepson wants. I have a 5 year old and a 6 year old who will be taking these doses, FYI. Both are supposed to taste good with the Frutol being the " most delicious!! " I googled Pharmax Fish Oil and several sites came up. The first one was The Green Pharmacy and they appeared to have both products. I will be ordering mine soon. We just received our compounded vitamin/mineral mix and our compounded calcium/magnesium mix, so I'm going to introduce those first before I change our fish oil. Good luck ladies, I hope Pharmax tastes as good as advertised! Stephanee > > Oops! The fish oil is PHARMAX pure fish oil. I googled it and found > it easily. Guest guest
Do they use this brand CLO in kids who need it? > > > > Oops! The fish oil is PHARMAX pure fish oil. Guest guest
Yes. They don't want us on CLO as the compounded multi has A and D - which is also in CLO. They don't want serum levels too high. > > > > > > Oops! The fish oil is PHARMAX pure fish oil. I googled it and > > found > > > it easily. Guest guest
I also have A & D compounded. But, I use Kirkmans Calc/Mag liquid. You may want to look into that for cost comparison. Guest guest
Thanks for the suggestion - something about the Kirkman's causes major diarrhea in all my kids...I've tried the suggested dose as well as a much less dose, same result...and I've tried it numerous times. YUK! I finally threw out the bottle as I couldn't gag it down and they couldn't tolerate it. I hope this compounded one doesn't do the same thing. > > I also have A & D compounded. Guest guest
Do you have a fluoride issue? If the cal is pulling it out too fast that could occur. > > > > I also have A & D compounded.
