Guest guest
Hi everybody, I'm wondering whether chronic diarrhea could be a mito related problem. has had very large loose bms for 2 weeks now. No changes in diet and he's otherwise well. Also, he has always eaten a ton--he eats large amounts throughout the day. Yet, he is small for his age and the food doesn't seem to "stick with him." Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks, Lori and (age 5, complex I and IV) No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. Guest guest
Grace had chronic diarrhea when she was a baby. For her she was not absorbing her foods, therefore it just was eliminated as soon as she was feed. This may explain why he eats so much, to compinsate for the loss. Grace stopped having problems when Carnitor was started. She is very deficient so it explains it for her. Maybe he needs a higher dose, or at least labs ran to see. Also alot of FOD's cause chronic dirreah. Celiac Disease, or gluten sensitivites also can cause alot of dirreah. Just some thoughts. Guest guest
Chronic diarrhea can occur in mito. Also food sensitivities and intolerances sometimes develop. My son is allergic to milk, gluten, and soy.
