Guest guest
My adrenal problems are so severe I am almost bedridden. I am so fatigued by adrenal insufficiency, and every 3 months or so I go into adrenal crisis and I land in the hospital for a week or so. It starts with diarrhea, vomiting incredible fatigue disoriented and insatiable thirst very dangerously low blood sodium and I started to go into a coma but was in er and meds were given immediately. After a week in the hospital and many i.v's etc., Than I am sent home with home care which is the case now I had a crisis at the end of march. Nurses and physical therapists come twice a week. It beets being in the hospital but it does get very lonely during the week when everyone is off to work! I wish my endocrinologist could figure out how to get all of this under control? Oh well bye for now Anne p.s. youngest daughter just diagnosed with adrenal problems, it's very upsetting.
Guest guest
aNNE, i'M SO SORRY THAT YOU ARE EXPERIENCING THIS. I'm sure that the scary part is that your daughter is also dealing with similar issues. Did yuou're start with sarcoidosis or longterm steroid use (ie. prednisone, solu-medrol)? That seems to be a huge precursor to adrenal insufficiency. A good endocrinologist or immunologist is needed to help you thru this so that the pattern can be controlled. Guest guest
Yes my adrenal p. are from sarc granulomas that completely destroyed my endo. system i was not on steroids at the time although i have had the neuro sarc since 89 which was found on the lining of my brain and in the skull bone and facial bones destroying nerves by compressing them after the inflammation moves on and the granulomas harden. The neurosarc had changed my quality of life and now the adrenal problems have sapped what strength I have left and my stamina sucks. Of course now I am on very high doses of steroids injections and oral and I am not happy about that at all. But I have a supportive family and my husband is wonderful. If my 4yr old granddaughters visit I feel like a million bucks when I am with them and than I crash! But it's worth for me I do not see them often enough because of distance and busy schedules parents both working etc., Bye for now Anne
