Guest guest
That is great, we have a smaller service dog that was trained as a social therapy dog for our son. He is now approaching retirement age and we are considering getting a new dog that will be able to pull his wheelchair, etc. I hope all goes well with your kids, we actually had our first service animal 'flunk' after a few weeks (he would suddenly jump and run off). Don't be afraid to tell the organization if you think the animal is not a good fit for your child. But, Simba has been a blessing for Kris, especially those times when he is in extreme fatigue cycles. Being a smaller dog, they can both crash on the couch or recliner for the day. Guest guest
Cool article, thanks for sharing. Grace was also just featured in our local newspaper. Unfortunatly the reporter got so many facts wrong, I am very reluctant to share it with anyone. I hope you can get the dogs. Have you considered doing a fundraiser to help offset the cost? I've seen many people post here about them, I'm sure someone would have good ideas. Best wishes Find just what you're after with the new, more precise MSN Search - try it now! Guest guest
Do you belong to a church? Many times youth groups will do a fundraiser to help with a mission project. By any chance do you belong to Thrivant (It's an insurance company located in Mpls and the Fox Valley but they have agents located around the country. Anyway, they usually match funds if the person who is doing the fundraising belongs to Thrivant. How about hooking up with an honors club or such at a high school? Youth get so hyped up about fund raising and are good sales people. Many people around here in Appleton,WI hold benefits. Dances, raffles, and yes Packer football stuff is always a huge draw for people to bid on. I know you hate to think about raising money in asking for it this way; but you may get quite a few donations for this cause by having something fun for them to do such as dance and eat food and bid on things .
