OMG,,,that is unbelievable !! Did you get custody back ? I am so sorry to hear that,,,it is really shocking,that something like that could happen. My youngest son was taken from my custody over three years ago. He spent only three months in foster care, where he was physically abused by the foster parents. He got very sick and ran away four times to the Children's Hospital for medical care by himself. The CPS said he was faking sick and just trying to get attention. The docs at Children's said he was very sick and needed immediate medical treatment, but they gave in to CPS and did not fight for my son's needs, due to threats made by CPS.

My son ran away again in May 2002, and he has been gone since. CPS still claims he is not sick, that he fakes it for attention, and this in spite of his documented blood, urine, and muscle biopsy proof that he has mito. Yet they accept and beleive that my other children and myself have mito. They dismissed the case against me, but the state kept jurisdiction. My son remains a runaway, with a warrant to remand him to jail when he is found and picked up, to this day. The very corrupt judge on his case sentenced him to jail when found until he turns 21 to teach him a lesson for running away.

Kim,

Actually we try to look for the blessings in disguise whenever we go through hardships in our family. I honestly believe that alot of good has come from our problems, and we wouldn't be the strong, resilient, and happy family that we are if we hadn't gone through so much.
