It really does sound like it. I can't say for sure I am not a

doctor. I can say what I have experianced. When they started to

realate my physical problems to my eyes the glasses would have been

to thick to correct the problem and the patch was not enough to fix

it eaither. The surgery was the only answer. Since it is the muscles

behind the eyes even with use the condition can still come back

specially when I am tired. I have to blink a few times and then I

see only one item instead of two.

Since I don't have any other signs of mito maybe with me it doesn't

degenerate as quickly as it would in someone like Logan. I know with

my son Eli he had the condition but before it could be looked at he

was already having other symtoms of Leigh's. The damage in his brain

was causing muscle weekness throughout his body. Now he is blind and

his eyes are strait. Strange. His eyes work togeather now that he

can't see at all.

I am glad for logan you went for a second oppion maybe do the same

as I suggested to the other Kim mention the condition and ask the

doctor.

Ann(Eli's Mommy) 2yrs Leigh's

God Bless and I hope I answered what I could.

the strabismus. Logan has always had this . They put him in glasses

at the age of 3.(He looked sooo adorable in them ) Anyway,,,we were

seeing a pediatric opthamologist,,and it seemd like every 6

months,or so,,Logan's eye would start crossing again,,and everytime

it did,,he would have us patch the good eye,for a few months, till it

got better. Well,Logan HATES the patch. I mean HATES it. He would go

crazy,,and just go on and on,crying, complaining, etc(he also has

autism,,so he can go on about things for hours),and it got to the

point that I would not do that patch (I know,,bad mom) So,,then we

changed eye Dr's and he would just increase the dose on his

glasses,,and that was alot better than patching,to me. Sooo,,to make

a long story short,,we are still going through this,,his eye still

crosses, and we keep increasing the script,,and I was wondering it

this sounds familiar to you ? Is this common with mito ?
