Brain injury waiver info

Sorry, can't find the original thread on this, so I'll start over...

Someone mentioned that the Brain Injury Waiver is federal. While that's

true, in that the federal government authorizes it and funds it on a

matching basis with states, please be aware that it's considered an

optional program, so not every state has a " brain injury waiver " even if

they have other types of waivers, like one for developmental

disabilities. Here's a site that has a feature to search state by state

to see which waivers each has:

http://www.pascenter.org/state_based_stats/medicaid_waivers_info.php?state=us & Go\

Caution: as people have been saying, even if a state has a waiver, you

might still not be able to get on because of waiting lists, and some

waivers in a given state might have longer lists than others!

Hope this helps.
