Holly,

Please know that there are many prayers being said for all of you at this very difficult time. May you feel the arms of this wonderful group embrace you and give you strength. Hopefully by the time you read this Maddie will have been extubated and on the road to recovery.

May God be with all of you,

Hello everyone.

Maddie was admitted to the hospital on Friday afternoon after fighting a virus all week-(Lowgrade fever, awful cough.) She was lethargic and had a co2 level of 60, enlarged heart and partial collapsed lung. We tried her on a bi-pap to get her breathing, but her co2 level continued to rise to 123 until they intubated her on Saturday night. She is in the Pediatric ICU. She seems to be doing better now that her breathing is being assisted, but her chest x-ray isn't clear enough for them to feel comfortable about removing the tube. I know the power of prayer is strong in this group- please pray for strength for her to get well quickly. I will keep you all updated as often as I can. I've had little to no sleep this past week, I am exhausted and still somewhat in disbelief. I have never been so frightened in my life as I have been these last few days.

Holly,

I'm so sorry to hear Maddie's in the hospital, we'll be adding extra prayers for her for strength and healing, as well as for you for strength also.

Hopefully now she is doing better. Try to get as much rest as possible, I know it's hard while at the hospital, but you're going to need it.

Holly,

your right about the power of prayer, I truley believe that is why my

son is alive today. the doctors told me to let him go and put him on DNR,

they gave us no hope, but here we are almost 2 years later able to hug, kiss

and sometimes scold him! I pray that you will be as blessed as I am
