Hey ,

I am totally in favor of trying herbal relief, as that is always my first remedy. They do wake me up from a sound sleep right in the middle of the night, sometime around 2:00-4:00 a.m.

and they stay for the entire next day, and now a little longer. I don't have mito that I know of, though I am a generation between my mom who probably did and my son and possibly his twin sister. What herbal remedies do you know of for migraines? I already use probiotics and avoid bread. Thanks , Joni wrote:

Mine always woke me up so I had to have the MRI.> They are very painful and hard to> get things done the next day, so I am looking for any home remedies> to try. i always have fairly good luck with Caffeine too. There are some herbal things I've personally used with pretty good success if you want more info on that (probably should email directly) but I don't know how they effect Mito (I'm not symptomatic at all my son is still just suspected).Hope that helps some JColoMom to Will

Joni,

I worked with a midwife when I was pregnant and she swore by Arnica

Montana for headaches. I used it then because of the no ibuprofen and

caffeine rules, and it worked great. We get the little sublingual

tablets from our health food store ( I think the brand is Bionic

little blue tube or we've also had good luck with the Hyland brand). I

use it now all of the time, and after some research have found lots of

things it's good for. We use it for severe muscle pain (esp from

exertion), it diminishes bruising when the kids bump in to things

really hard. We haven't seen any side effects in the adults or kids in

our house, and our son's pediatrician has ok'd his using it.

Hope that helps. We are kind of an herbal family so we try and look

for those solutions first.
