Guest guest
THis has been a challenging week for us. The fire is finally contained, and it's mop up time. With the valley below us, the air quality is nasty down in the valley during the days, and then as things heat up and the air rises, we are hit at night with gray skys. I just pray that this is as bad a fire as we ever experience, yet I know that when the powers to be have not allowed control burns for years-- around 70+ years that the ground fuel is so dense that it's a time bomb. Literally the fires spurred by the winds at over 50mph raged so fast that the trees didn't really burn-- but it looks like a holocaust at ground level. The biggest challenge in the section we live in is that if we get a crown fire (the tops of the trees) going, we'd lose about 6000 homes--so that is one scary idea. This one only took 77 homes, and i know for all of you that are being effected by the floods and tornados in the midwest and east--- that seems like a cake walk for what you are going through. My heart goes out to all of you-- I'm not at all up to par right now-- so am only checking in a bit-- so if you don't hear from me right now, know that someone will get in touch with you. Take care, Tracie NS Co-owner/moderator Blood testsI finally had a follow up with my neurologist, and he sent me for some blood test, a "sarc panel". I think one test was a ACE test... does anyone know how reliable these tests are for diagnosis?------------------------------------ ~~~~ *** ~~~ *** ~~~ *** ~~~~The Neurosarcoidosis CommunityNS CHAT:- FAITH CHAT: SUNDAY 4PM-5PM EASTERN TIME CHATROOM LINK: http://www.sarcbuddies.com/chat Message Archives:-http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Neurosarcoidosis/messagesMembers Database:-Listings of locations, phone numbers, and instant messengers.http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Neurosarcoidosis/database
